In my personal life, I’m an avid supporter and practitioner of the Farm-to-Table Movement. This revolutionary social movement redefined the culinary field. It involves cleaner, sustainable agricultural processes and encourages restauranteers to source their ingredients from local farms—resulting in fewer food additives, a greater understanding of nutrients, and increased food safety. As a formally trained chef and wine professional, this dynamic evolution of the culinary industry has been the foundation of my ideals.
Professionally, I have worked on the sales side of the service industry focusing on implementing new marketing strategies that increased brand representation. I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to participate in community outreach programs, providing educational seminars for both my peers and clients. After learning the preferred sales methods of the service setting, I was promoted to a management position on a specialized sales team. In this role, I developed clerical skills, assistant bookkeeping abilities, marketing strategies, and enhanced sales techniques while further driving my passion for leadership. Communication and adaptability were the key components of establishing the team’s success in this endeavor.
I am looking to further my skills as a UX designer, while applying my professional experiences to my current projects. I am a self-motivating, hard worker who enjoys learning new skills and clever organizational tactics. My team-oriented spirit helps me utilize that knowledge to problem-solve obstacles and ensure accurate attention to fine details. In my current pursuits, I intend to focus my efforts on developing new design and marketing techniques.
